Midwestern Force Lacrosse Info

This is an update from MFL. Our membership drive is now well underway. If you have any players who you know may want to play lacrosse in a competitive setting. Now is the time. Midwestern Force has open clinics which run in the fall and the winter. Nearly all of our clinics are  "open" to accommodate NCAA rules (we use college coaches) and to allow for players to get a "glimpse" of the club setting.  We won't have another open clinic until the fall--which is long past what is considered the prime time summer for exposure for any age group.   If it's simply improving an individuals skills and competing at a more challenging  level, a player can enter at any time.

We do have a lot of exciting things happening in our club-- we are offering a college summer experience between the Champions and  Capital Cups (IWLCA sanctioned tournaments) in June in which we are traveling to five different Division 1 campuses to have four-hour  practices run by the coaching staff of that university.  We have  scheduled clinics at UPenn, UMBC, Temple(only pending), Villanova, and Johns  Hopkins.  We are also making another trip out to Vail, All-Star  Express, and Indian Prairie.  We may also get involved in the  tournament that is being run by Gary Gait (most likely just one team)  wherein we'll be paired with a college coach for tournament play.  We  currently have 20 of our 30-some seniors that have signed/committed  to play in college with nearly 100%  of our seniors having received  offers.  I expect that over 75% of our seniors (this first class of  08's) to play in college next year.  Additionally, we have seen tremendous improvement in so many of our girls at all levels.  I  don't think that you could find a club out there that works as hard  to provide opportunities for our players.  We aren't the right club for everyone, but we truly believe that we provide a rich experience. Please contact me if you have any further questions. I have attached our summer calendar at a glance and information on our 5 day 5 campus training for your review.

We are not the only vehicle for club lacrosse but we feel comfortable in saying that our success should speak loud and clear on our level of commitment to our players and our families. Please forward on information onto your players for consideration. Wendy or I will also be more than willing to visit any HS programs parent night to update your families on all that we do.

Thanks again
