BOARD SPONSORED ACTIVITES

v Spaghetti Dinner (the primary fundraising activity of the team) each player is required to sell 12 tickets to the dinner and provide one silent auction item. The dinner is held in January – there is no set date yet. All players and families are asked to volunteer to help at this event

v Team Poster (We need 8 – 10 sponsors @ $100.00/each … will be listed on the poster with pictures of the team) Posters will be distributed to players and sponsors and will be available at the beginning of the season.

v Spirit Wear (order forms for spirit wear will be available in November for delivery in time for Christmas. A second order will be submitted in early February) Spirit wear is approved by the coach, is not mandatory in any way but payment is required when ordering.

v Team Dinners (day before all home games) – parents host the team for dinner. You can also help with food, serving, clean-up, etc.

v Hannigan Tournament (April 17, 2010 tournament for Varsity @ Thomas Worthington) – the Board supplies tent and snacks for the team.

v JV Play Day – April 24th (tournament for JV team hosted by Davidson) – JV players play – Seniors and parents help on field, concession stand and t-shirt sales. Board supplies snacks for the team

v Darby Rivalry – Boosters will supply a spirit item for fans in the stands and will also work with the coach on special “Darby Week” activities.

v Senior Night – Board recognizes the seniors from both teams and the parents of the Davidson players

v End of the Season Get-Together

v Sponsor and support various team activities as requested by coach

Summary of Responsibilities

ü $65.00 pay-to-play fee – check made out to Hilliard Davidson - goes to Coach (or his designee) and is due prior to the start of the season. A team physical and other school forms are also due at this time.

ü $50.00 Booster fee – check made out to Hilliard Davidson Girls Lacrosse Boosters – goes to Helen Kelly @ 2991 Rockford Dr. Columbus, OH 43221-5012 and is due prior to the start of the season

ü Sell 12 spaghetti dinner tickets, provide one silent auction item, plan to volunteer at least 2 hours (team will work longer)

ü Help with JV play day, the Hannigan Tournament, or Team Dinners

And … if you, or anyone you know, are interested in sponsoring our team poster please let Sue Hamilton know. We simply need your name, your business name, address, phone number and website (if applicable) and of course your check J (Parents and families can sponsor the poster with a message to the team.) Checks should be made out to Hilliard Davidson Girls Lacrosse and can be mailed to Sue Hamilton 779 Aldengate Drive Galloway, OH 43119.

Other Notes …

As is the custom, the team captains may design a t-shirt or choose some other apparel item for the girls to optionally purchase. Once the items are determined they will be included on the spirit wear form per the instruction of the coach.

The girls (not seniors) may decorate the field for Senior Night – the boosters will provide cups for decorating the fences and will purchase flowers for game day.

At the end of the season the girls may take up a collection for coaches and senior gifts. If your player is involved with these collections please make sure they understand that the Booster’s do not provide money for this and they should not order anything without having the money in hand first.

Your player may take part is a secret buddy program where they provide a treat for their buddy at various times throughout the season. Please encourage them to be creative but not to go overboard by spending lots of money …

Your player may want to purchase a t-shirt form the various tournaments they will be attending. This is an optional purchase – the shirts can run anywhere from $10.00 - $25.00.

The players should pack a lunch/snack and maybe something to drink for the bus ride to and from away games.

Please keep your contact info updated by letting a Board member know if anything has changed. Most of our correspondence will be via email. We will also try to keep the website updated with all messages.

The Lacrosse Boosters also sell the Davidson Athletic Yard Signs for all Sports. Signs are $40.00 each – you can include more than one sport on the sign. An order form is attached. Please see Diane Lease if you need more info.

Travel west on Cemetery Rd. to Leap Rd.

Directions from I-70:
Exit 91B, Hilliard-Rome Rd.
Travel north for approximately 5 miles to school on right.
